departure

Hi. I'm sitting on a Vladivostok-Tashkent airplane a few minutes before takeoff. Today I'm gonna tell you how I got to this point.

What's there to tell? 102 days in a row people died - any kind of people, good, bad, ours, not ours, young, old, just everyone. At the helm is a sadistic creaker with his scum retinue of the same crippled officials, law enforcers and propagandists. Tens of thousands of lives and the future of more than a hundred million people are being squandered for whatever. Every week the tv-box finds a new idea for fellow citizens - then defense of someone, then Nazis, then biohazard laboratories, then killer birds with genetic viruses against Slavs, etc. Inspired fellow citizens happily stick the new-swastika on their credit foreign cars, put the new-swastika on their avatars.

All this could be observed for some time and from the inside while there are calories in the store and no mobilization. But I have a child with 10 more years to learn, facing looming patriotic education, stories of a ring of enemies all around, isolation from the outside world, militarization and tolerance for violence. Back in April, the first warning bells rang that schools and universities were starting to do something crazy in terms of presenting the "truth".

We decided to leave against this backdrop. I first thought of going to Armenia, sent out my CV, had a couple of interviews, but no results. I started looking for a full-time remote job and finally got an offer. Immediately after that I informed my management about the decision - everyone understood everything and only wished me good luck... It was hard to leave, these 2 weeks were like a funeral on minimum wages. It was especially hard in HR department, I almost let a tear, I can't remember when it was so sad.

Sold cars, sup-board, scooter and a lot of other little things, a lot of things thrown away, we got rid of the mortgage and left the kitties at home with granny to have a place to come back to in case of a miracle.

I have no idea where I will be in a month. For now Uzbekistan - I'll get my paycheck card processed, maybe get a shot of Pfizer so there's more opportunity for a future escape. That's how it is...

PS: Vladivostok airport international terminal works one day a week and serves exactly one flight to Tashkent on Sundays. Comrade Major does not look into the phone, and they take my word for the amount of cash.
