Right after a quick introduction to Armenia, I went to Georgia for a couple of days. At first I thought of getting to Tbilisi by bus, but I was persuaded in time - it took about five hours to get there, with unpredictable waiting in line at the border. Already from the window of the descending airplane you can see that the city is very interesting - low-rise houses next to tall buildings made of glass and a very beautiful landscape with mountains and a river.
There are so many photogenic places, despite this I didn't get out of the city center because you could spend a week exploring Tbilisi alone. I really liked the juxtaposition of buildings from different eras with modern bold architecture. Here on this video we are just getting close to the fortress, which is over 1500 years old.
In some ways, it's very much like typical Europe
View from the Ferris wheel
Bridge of peace
I like the city even better in the evening.
It is Metekhi district on the sheer cliff
And some more beautiful, strange and ancient architecture too
Delicious food, good wine and a wonderful level of service. In some restaurants and stores they do not speak Russian on principle, which is logical considering the events of 2008. But I did not feel like a stranger in this city, despite a few inscriptions on the walls cursing russia. In contrast to Yerevan, the city seems smaller, but to be honest, it is a place where I personally would like to live.
And glory to Georgia
